Choosing handles: hole spacing and hand clearance
Visible handle length and fixing spacing are different measurements. For new fittings consider hand access; for replacements start with the existing fixing pattern.
What determines the choice
When a catalogue value such as 64 mm or 96 mm is shown, confirm which dimension it describes using the drawing or product information. Do not substitute visible overall length for fixing-centre spacing.
Door thickness, access to screws and clearance from neighbouring drawers influence the choice. An application-specific part such as a glass-hinge handle should not be assumed to use a standard furniture-handle connection. State the application and mating component with the reference.
