Choosing door guards: frame and leaf compatibility
The two parts of a door guard need to meet correctly when the door is closed. Check the level difference between frame and leaf alongside the movement path.
What determines the choice
Identify the opening direction and the inside surface where the guard will sit. Frame profile, door overlap and existing hardware may affect alignment.
If reusing old holes, measure the hole patterns on both components separately. Leave access to operate the arm and check that it does not conflict with the door's movement. Confirm the fixing arrangement for the actual door and frame materials.
