Choosing hooks and hangers: item and fixing type
S hooks, key racks and coat hooks do not share one fixing arrangement. First identify the item to hang and the hook's position.
What determines the choice
For a hook that slips over a support, compare the support profile with the hook opening. For screw-fixed hangers, the panel or wall, hole pattern and rear access matter.
When placing several hooks together, allow for the items being hung as well as the hooks themselves. Matching finishes or similar shapes do not establish equal load capacity; confirm any load requirement with the reference and application details.
